A hlepful text that I assign to my exhibition design students is
DEVELOPING MUSEUM EXHIBITIONS FOR LIFELONG LEARNING, edited by Gail
Durbin, published by the Group for Education in Museums. While I have
some reservations about the book, I have found that it has been very
helpful in presenting emerging professionals with some of the more recent
discussion regarding learning theory as it applies to museum exhibitions.
Available for a pretty steep price from AAM bookstore. Hope this helps.
