> When we have small displays that don't rate the title of exhibit - a case
or
> two, or one large wallcase ... What phrases do you use to describe them?
We use the term "mini-exhibit." For us, these are 3-4 case small exhibits,
two of which are always on display, and each rotates three times a year (so
we have a new mini-exhibit every two months). We use these to highlight
collections which we don't get out very often, or to deal with small themes
or topics for which we don't have many objects. Interestingly, we find that
the media often pick up on these for major publicity, and sometimes the
topic is of great interest to our visiting public.
