I joined this list a month or so ago, and have been enjoying it. I'm an
older (returning) student in architecture and "environment and behavior",
with a particular interest in zoo and nature center design (and
visitor-based evaluation studies).
I haven't yet noticed a lot of postings on the list from the zoo side of
the museum world. Are there zoo people "lurking" out there? Is there
another more zoo (or nature center) oriented list that I should also be
subscribing to?
For the record, I'm not a whiskey or whisky drinker, partly because I
don't like the taste much, partly because most alcohol appears to give me
migraines. This is also the case for diet soda beverages, so I avoid
those as well. My advice to museum party organizers: provide plenty of
non-alcoholic stuff too (water is pretty cheap!) I have enjoyed this
thread though, especially the fascinating discussion of whether to empty
bottles or cannonballs in a collection or not and the speculation about
what was in those champagne bootles on the fishing boat!
