Yahoo groups also has a PDX info group for nonprofit employment and
employees. It's called CNRG. Though it is not specific to Museums, much
nonprofit experience is applicable to them and non-profits are usually very
keen on workers exploring lots of volunteer opportunities. So, if a "real"
job is absolutely necessary you should sign up for this list. I have found at
least 5 jobs to send off the old resume to in just a few digests (oh, for the
love of digest listservs) For nonjobseekers who actually have time to read
all these posts (to the bitter end) they also have tons of in-kind sharing
messages people giving away everything from refrigerators to antiques
specifically for nonprofit groups.
