We recently removed some track lighting in which sockets were melted or
brittle and flaking. Our electricians suggested that 65 watts may be too
hot for the fixtures. I've heard that halogen bulbs give you more light
for your wattage. Does anyone know if 50 watt halogen bulbs would be
more harmful to permanent exhibits and collections than 65 watt
incandescent bulbs?
Thanks,
Erin Gerrity
