Colleagues,
I am confused. Perhaps I missed a precursor message on this site board, or you
are planning to build a museum or memorial to those who lost their lives in the
tragic events of 11 September 2001. This tragedy which the media and our
President has labeled the "Attack on America", is an event that whether most us
realize or not, will live with us forever. The wide spread scope of this
tragedy can not be comprehended by anyone individual. This event has torn
apart and shattered, untold numbers of families, friends, neighbors and fellow
citizens. The synthesis of our nation as a whole is affected; the injured,
military troops, construction workers, EMTs, nurses, doctors, rescue personnel,
police, firemen, businessmen and women, mom and dads, children, flag wavers and
more are all involved. Everyone must to some degree or another be touched by
what has happened.
I am sure that for those who lost loved ones...everyone is their hero.
I think they are right...
I personally would not want to "take away" or set any title of Martyrs vs
Heroes vs Victims and divide people into categories. I think we should instead
concern ourselves with preserving memory, their memory.
Please do not dehumanize and desensitize these losses of our fellow man, woman
and child.
thank you
Greg Hansel

Lets not dehumantize this by trying to classify who is what.
