I've recently read a report which suggests that the national average for art and cultural organizations of earned to unearned income (the extent to which consumers are willing to pay for product and services vs. contributed income) is 60% earned vs. 40% unearned.
The ratio at our museum isn't even close to that.
I'm searching for any souces for information on this subject, and any individual examples anyone cares to share.
