Glad you took me up on my suggestion! I knew the
folks at the Charity Channel could help you.
This list is wonderful because it gives us so much
feedback and museum-specific advice. But, when you
get to more generic, nonprofit issues, you may want to
do as Ericka did and take it up on the Charity
Channel. There is a wealth of information to be
had--all free of charge, and a very ample set of
archives you can query if you're too intimidated to
post.
The topics on the Channel run the gamut of issues
(note that there's even one called Arts Gift where I
recognize names from this list), and you can find very
helpful NPO specialists, attorneys, tax professionals,
etc. aggregated there. One particular name you may
have seen of late is Renata Rafferty, who has appeared
on O'Reilly's FoxNews talk show concerning 9/11
issues.
If you have questions that are of a generic, nonprofit
nature, you may wish to visit
http://www.charitychannel.com/forums
One caveat: There, I use my REAL name, and generally
I lurk and harvest for ready reference.
