(5) San Francisco Foundation Accepting Nominations for
Community Leadership Awards
Deadline: June 1, 2002
Presented by the San Francisco Foundation (
http://www.sff.org/ ), the Community Leadership Awards
are designed to honor significant contributions to
improving the quality of life of the Bay Area.
The awards recognize individual or organizational
excellence in leadership as demonstrated by
outstanding initiative, impact of work, and
inspiration of others. Eligible contributions include
work which improves (addressing social problems),
protects (addressing environmental concerns), or
enhances (supporting arts and humanities) Bay Area
communities and their residents.
Up to four Community Leadership Awards are made per
calendar year. Individuals receive $10,000 awards and
organizations are awarded $20,000. Individuals and
not-for-profit organizations in Alameda, Contra Costa,
Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo counties are
eligible to apply.
