Spaces still available for Disaster Response: The Critical First 48 Hours.
The Upper Midwest Conservation Association presents Disaster Response: The
Critical First 48 Hours. This workshop is a second chance for those who
could not attend the AIC workshop, "Disaster Response: Training the
Trainers." The workshop will use the same curriculum and the workshop
presenters have been through the AIC training. The workshop will focus on
disaster response, as in emotional responses, health concerns, what to do
first, who to contact, and how to use a disaster plan. There will also be
team building exercises and hands-on activities. The workshop will be
offered over two days at the following locations:
Milwaukee Public Museum, Wisconsin August 9-10, 2001
Mount Rushmore National Memorial, South Dakota August 13-14, 2001
North Dakota Heritage Center, North Dakota August 16-17, 2001
Blanden Memorial Art Museum, Iowa August 20-21, 2001
Minnesota Historical Society, Minnesota August 23-24, 2001
Please contact Melinda Markell, Field Services Coordinator with Upper Midwest
Conservation Association at (612) 870-3128 or [log in to unmask] for registration.
