I just did a web-search for "jackalope" using "Google" and there are
thousands of sites. This one

Even sells them (taxidermy or plush, your choice). Also jackapheasants
(jackalope x pheasant hybrid, with wings and tail), & t-shirts showing a
bank robber escaping on a jackalope.
The search also had bibliographies of scholarly research on jackalopes and a
lot of sites from towns that have the jackalope as mascot.
