Susan,
I just completed my Master's at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. I graduate this May! It's been a very good experience for me, and I know personally that the Museum of Nebraska History has work study positions available.
Contact Sally Hawkins at UNL for more information -- I'd give her email out, but I'm afraid that she'd receive a glut of unasked for email. Go to www.unl.edu, enter the master's program, and then go from there.
Hope this helps.
