Chris,
When I take to the field, I am in a 15' by 24 marquee. My forge is on
one side, my store on the other. They set me up in such a way that I and
the others there from a street, which is some times quite broad. I.e.
the Feast of the Hunters Moon in Lafayette, Indiana we get 40,000
visitors walking in lanes 50 feet wide. I do engage any and all how
approach. But a great many people simply glance into the tent as they
walk by.
Smaller sites such as Fort Niagra with narrower streets will bring
people closer and I get more interst from the passers by.
What the conresation was about, was that many who come to the events
just aren't intested is watching a smith. Those who are, I spend a great
deal of time with. ( I'll tell you about Mayville 2000 some day)
Yours
