Palo Alto Art Center Children's Art Program
Teaching positions available:
Palo Alto's Children's Art Program is seeking a Peninsula-based ceramic
artist who is great with young kids to teach the following friday
classes starting immediately:
Clay for Preschooler and Parent
Learn with your preschooler about working with clay. Great for fine
motor skill development. All projects glazed and fired. Parental
participation required.
Session 4: 8 classes | 10/5 to 11/30 (no class 11/23) | $74 ($64 res) | 10max
CFA080-4F Fri 1 to 2pm 3 to 5 yrs Junior Museum
Clay for Youth
Coil, slab, and free form modeling. Children learn these basic
hand-building skills and complete a variety of fun projects.
Session: 8 classes | 10/5 to 11/30 (no class 11/23 | $74 ($64 res) | 10max
CFA030-1F Fri 2:15 to 3:15pm 5 to 6 yrs Junior Museum
Clay Basics and Beyond
For kids with some experience with clay. Experiment with the potter's
wheel, learn more advanced hand-building techniques and make ceramic
sculpture.
Session: 8 classes | 10/5 to 11/30 (no class 11/23) | $106 ($96 res) | 12max
CFA041-1F Fri 3:30 to 5pm 9 to 14 yrs Junior Museum
We are also looking artists/teachers to teach art classes for
preschoolers and elementary-aged children in a variety of media
beginning next year ~ please apply immediately.
Pay is $22.50 per contact hour plus 10 minutes paid prep time per class.
