No Margaret, you are certainly not being unreasonable. You should be paid
for the time you are unavailable to work elsewhere. You should also receive
a per diem to cover expenses. Have you considered offering to perform this
task for a flat fee (not an hourly rate)as a separate contract having
nothing to do with your regular part-time duties? If you were not willing
to travel would they have to contract out? Good luck!
