Hello Everyone--I am seeking information on the African American
artist Thelma Johnson Streat who worked in the 1930s-50s.
She was a painter, designer, and dancer from the northwest
who traveled around the world giving performances and
promoting the idea of 'tolerance through art'. If anyone
knows of examples of paintings, film footage, or other
archival material on Ms. Streat, I would appreciate the
information. Thank you.
