And what kind of BA?
I wouldn't go near some of the things that I work with, if I hadn't been
admitted to both the MSc in experimental physics and the MA in history of
science, supplemented with readings and lectures in art history and
architectural and urban history. But my studies were just one possible path to
the required knowledge - it is plausible that a BA course would do just as well
for your circumstances, especially if you focussed your studies much more than I
focussed mine, and if you're bringing in knowledge from elsewhere.
But don't fall into the trap of over-specialisation, nor the belief that
technical skills will triumph over a solid theoretical foundation.
Over-specialisation often leads to mistakes through insufficient contextual
awareness (admittedly no amount of education can completely fix that) and a poor
theoretical foundation will leave you short of many safeguards against applying
techniques to artefacts that are, for various obscure reasons, damaged by
'convention.'
