If you suspect that that has happened, go to the library's
director and the person who did that, once found, will probably be
fired.  At the public library I worked at there was someone on the staff
who took books she thought were inappropriate for the collection (the
entire staff was female).  The director made it quite plain that this was
inappropriate conduct, as well as theft, and that this person would be
fired.
