How about writing the info on a small strip of acid-free card stock and
stapling it to the margin of the bag outside the zipper? Using rust-proof
staples, of course. And only staple through one layer! I haven't found
anything yet that has the unrubability of the Sharpie so I use it, but only
write on the above-mentioned outer margin beyond the zipper. Are Sharpies
really that harmful? Do they fade if left alone in the quiet and the dark?
I like them partly because they come off really easily with denatured
alcohol but they are really hard to rub off.
