I would caution anyone against using the McCall's and Buttericks patterns
for authentic period clothing. Those patterns lack the period details
needed for a living history situation, they are fine for stage productions
where details are not noticeable. For 19th & 20th century patterns I highly
recommend Past Patterns, www.pastpatterns.com They are well made and
exceptionally well researched patterns. For 18th century I suggest Kanniks
Korners www.kannikskorner.com They have great patterns for men, women
and children.
