Our policy gives the appropriate curator authority to grant or deny loan
requests. In practice, such questions often come through me, the
collections manager, and the curator and I will determine whether the
condition and significance of the objects justifies the risk. And the
benefit. We would consult the director if we felt it necessary. And of
course look at our own exhibition schedule.
