CURATORIAL ASSISTANT
Salary: $20, 694.00/year
Plus State benefit package
The Central Arizona Division in Tempe is seeking a Curatorial Assistant for the Library and Archives. This person will perform beginning level professional work in the acquisition, preservation, and processing of historical documents, photographs, manuscripts, architectural drawings and ephemera. Employee will work as a team member in providing reference and research assistance to the museum staff as part of the exhibits process and to the public via telephone, email, regular mail and in person.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree in American history, museum studies, archaeology or related field; OR two years of experience equivalent to a Curatorial Aide. Preference will be given to candidates having worked with archival materials.
PREFERRED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:
Desire to work in a museum and library/archival setting
Good oral and written communincations skills
Basic knowledge of computers
Desire to work with people
