The Oklahoma Route 66 Museum of the Oklahoma Historical Society is seeking
candidates for the position of Historical Collections Specialist - Job Code
U12C (working title: Curator of Collections). Pay band is
$1,792.17-$2,389.58 with excellent state benefits.
This position is located in Clinton, Oklahoma. Duties include, but are not
limited to; screening incoming donations, completing paperwork on new and
past donations, properly numbering and storing artifacts, assisting
researchers (25+ monthly), work as a team member to improve exhibits, assist
in conducting tours and educational programs, inventory artifacts on
exhibit, and enter donations in Past Perfect software. This person must
also work as a team member to accomplish annual goals & objectives and
occasionally must fill-in at the museum's gift shop/admissions desk. The
candidate must be able to work independently and present a professional
attitude. Participation in professional organizations is highly encouraged
and supported.
