Stephen, I can list you a few cons right off the bat - does that make me a
self-recommended source? Anyway, they are:
Q - What happens when a teeny widget falls off your big
whatchamacallit onto your carpeted floor?
A - The carpet swallows it. You never see it again. You fill out
an incident report.
Q - What happens when the eensy-beensy spider crawls into your
storage area through cracks you
                 didn't know you had?
A - The carpet offers it sanctuary, and rich meals of other
undetectable wee bugs.
Q - What happens when dust, bits of the ceiling, mud and organic
randomness are deposited on
                 your nice clean carpet?
A - It takes them unto its pile and offers them for the wee bugs
to eat. Along with its collection of
                 teeny widgets.
Otherwise, you might check the archives of the Cons DistList and our own
Museum-L - I wouldn't be surprised if this has been discussed there.
