If it hasn't been mentioned yet,  Dr. Peggy Wireman's book, Partnerships for
Prosperity: Museums and Economic Development (American Association of
Museums, 1997) provides a good framework for understanding the topic of
economic value and museums.  It's available at the AAM Bookstore.
