I am currently involved with an ethnographic study of museums under Dr.
Jeffrey Halley, a well known sociologist. He has published numerous journals
and articles relating to this subject as well as other topics relating to the
arts. Many of his collegues are also involved in this same sort of study,
and their articles and journals can be found at jstor.org or from the ASA,
etc.
