ADMINISTRATOR
Museum/historical society seeks mature, responsible individual to fill
full-time position as administrator. Must be self-starter; work well on
your own and in a team and function in fast paced work environment.
Requires good organization, computer proficiency including word processing,
database, and light bookkeeping. Some latitude in choice of hours during
regular office hours of 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, but does
require some periodic Sunday and evening work. Pay in range of $26,000 -
$28,000 annually depending on experience. Good benefits. Work under general
supervision of Executive Director and Outreach Coordinator.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
A variety of administrative duties, such as office management, typing
correspondence, reports, and memos, maintaining files and telephone
reception. Preparing and updating calendar of events, membership database,
and work schedules. Light bookkeeping and sales. Organizes and schedules
board and committee meetings. Also assists with arranging for maintenance
and delivery of supplies and services for our historic building.
Outreach duties include receiving museum visitors and conducting tours of
the building, maintaining membership records and soliciting membership for
the organization.
