Roundtable/Panel Discussion
The Artist, The Collector & The Changing Museum
Tuesday, April 10
7:00 pm (Doors open 6:00 pm)
Moderator Helen Frederick, Executive Artistic Director of Pyramid Atlantic,
will lead a stimulating debate regarding the architectural statements of
museums such as the Tate Modern, Guggenheim Bilbao Museum, The J. Paul Getty
Museum and the much anticipated additions to the Washington, DC art world.
Museum architecture has become a sculptural experience. How will the change
in museum architecture impact the art that museums house and display? Will
this become a driving force in the artists creativity?
Discussion Participants: Emilie Brzezinski (Sculptor), William Dunlap
(Artist and WETA Arts Commentator), Alan Fern (Former Director, National
Portrait Gallery), and Randy Jewart (Sculptor).
