The Mississippi Department of Archives and History (MDAH) seeks a
graphic artist at the Old Capitol Museum of Mississippi History,
accredited by AAM since 1972. Duties include assisting with design and
layout of exhibits, preparing drawings, illustrations, maps and other
graphics, typesetting text, building exhibit furniture and setting-up
display systems as well as helping with the daily maintenance of
exhibits. Must be able to work in a team environment, be multi-tasked,
and willing to learn. Position requires degree in graphic art or
related field. Starting salary is $19,700, not including generous
