The Registrars Committee of the AAM has a subcommittee called RARIN,
Reproduction Rights and information Network. The website is said to be
rather useful in this regard. Please check it out at

If you follow the first link to Survey Samples and Shortcuts you will
perhaps find what you are looking for among other nice tidbits. The site
was specifically designed for people in museums who manage rights and
reproduction issues and might need help, inspiration - whatever.
