We have film crews constantly wanting to film at our site, and it seems we
are giving
away the farm to allow them to film on site. We do charge $500 to $1000 per
day,
but to me that seems low, since some homes in the city get $3,000 to $25,000
for use. We have over 35 buildings, many of which are period. Many of them
have
artifacts in them, and to allow the filming for such a cheap price it does
not seem right.
In fact, as a curator I find it difficult to allow them into the buildings
with artifacts (but it is out of my hands...if you know what I mean).
What do other Living History Parks/sites charge per building or shooting per
day? Plus, we have staff involved and so forth. I would appreciate any
feedback. Thanks in advance.
