Dear family and friends,
Many of you have been kind enough to alert me to the fact that I fell victim
to the "Sircam" virus out that manifests itself with the following message:
"Hi! How are you
I send you this file in order to have your advice
See you later Thanks"
and includes an attachment. DO NOT open the attachment -- delete the
message. Unfortunately, when I received it, curious sort that I am (and
always
delighted to offer advice, solicited or otherwise!), I opened the attachment.
It
has resulted in the message replicating itself in strange ways and sending
itself to just about everyone in my address book. Many are bouncing back to
me,
thank goodness, because many folks have virus detecting software that will
automatically reject such messages--I thought I did too ...
In any event, I apologize for the inconvenience that this virus is sure to
end
up causing. I guess the moral is to use care with all e-mailing.
Joel
