EXHIBITION ASSISTANT
60% Part Time Employee
Hours to be arranged
Cantor Art Center at Stanford University
The Exhibitions Assistant reports to the Manager for Collections,
Exhibitions, and Conservation (CEC), and provides administrative and some
operational support for the implementation of the exhibitions program.
S/he is expected to work closely with other members of the exhibitions
team: relevant curator, Chief Curator, CEC, Chief Preparator, and Assistant
Registrar for Loans & Exhibitions.
Under the direction of the CEC, and working closely with the Chief
Preparator and Assistant Registrar for Loans & Exhibitions, the Exhibitions
Assistant has the following specific responsibilities:
1. Scheduling
a. Notify relevant staff of exhibition meetings, schedule meeting room,
circulate agendas, take and disseminate notes from
exhibition meetings
b. Modify and issue updated schedules as necessary under
direction of CEC and Chief Preparator.
Produce and circulate exhibition schedules using
Fastrack or similar Macintosh software program.
1. long range annual exhibition calendars
2. detailed individual exhibition timelines
