Position available at the Portland Museum of Art,
Maine:
Coordinator of School Programs.
Resposible for developing, implementing and
maintaining innovative educational programs and
materials related to the Museum's collections,
exhibitions, and architecture. Reports to the
Director of Education and works in active
collaboration with the Education and Curatorial
Departments to create dynamic connections between the
Museum and teachers and students.
Resposnibilities include, but are not limited to:
Teacher training, classroom resources, the production
of a handbook for teaching from the Museum's
collections, the coordination of on-line outreach
to the state's schools, and docent training related to
student audiences. Advanced degree in Education, Art
History, Museum Ed., excellent interpersonal and
public speaking skills. Resumes and references to:
