As Mr. Doug Lantry posted, we're in the process of creating a Museum Theatre
program here at the Ohio Historical Society. You can access some information
about it on our web site:
http://www.ohiohistory.org/resource/teachers/mtheatre.html
<http://www.ohiohistory.org/resource/teachers/mtheatre.html>
The program is being created around the ideas of Drama and Theatre in
Education. Please contact me with any questions you might have, I'd love to
talk to you!
Additionally: anyone else who has created, or is in the process of creating,
a such a program for your museum, I'd appreciate the opportunity to compare
notes.
Sincerely,
Thomas M. Nealeigh

Subject: Re: drama projects
I am a PhD student (at the Museum Studies Department of Leicester
University/UK) and my research concerns the use of drama in museum
education
in UK. Could anyone inform me about museums (in UK or elsewhere)
that
develop drama projects for primary schoolchildren based on Drama and
Theatre
in Education techniques?
The Guthrie Museum Complex in Oklahoma uses gallery theater if that
is what
you are refering to. You can reach them at
