Hello! I have a question about secure shopping. If your museum has secure
online shopping, do you have a secure server through your ISP or through a
site like www.safeshopper.com? Do you think a server site is appropriate for
a museum to use? We currently have a few items for sale on our website, and
would like to make things like memberships available online. The only way
people can currently use their credit card to make purchases from our site
is to call us with their number or email it in multiple messages. This seems
sort of Mickey Mouse to me, and I would like to prove that our online sales
would be worthwhile, but a secure server through our ISP is rather spendy.
What do other museums use? And has your method worked?
Thank you for any input!
