And I believe LA Country hosted a Ferragamo shoe exhibition a few
years ago under the general rubric of "design."
As an extension of the current heartfelt spirit of bipartisanship, I
will observe that we might consider the idea that one person's design
statement may be another's sell-out indicator, and another's symptom
of pandering, and yet other's incisive documentation of the high/low
fusion in contemporary culture.
This is not to say that I don't have my own personal opinion
regarding relevance and appropriateness within the museum setting.
