Such labels can be a useful tool for the Docents and can greatly improve the
visitor's understanding of the site.
The only reason I can think of to not do it is if yours is a 'period' site
where modern interpretive labels would be 'out of period'. The mounting of
such labels should of course be done in a way that will not damage any
historic machinery or buildings.
