The week before last I was at the Kennedy Spce Center visitor complex and
they had just such a cart at the "talk to a real astronaut" area. It was a
metal cart on wheels with lockable storage underneath that held props.

Subject: Museum Discovery Carts for Presenting Hands-On Items to Visitors
>I'm on the Visitor Services Staff at the New York State Museum, Albany, NY.
We're looking for steel and/or wooden Carts that are durable, attractive to
the visitors and particularly functional. Ideally they need table-top-like
display surfaces with some underneath visible storage space for "What Is It
Boxes" and out-of-sight storage space for utensils and extra artifacts i.e.
all could be like drawers with runners under the top shelf. Approximate
cart dimensions would be 36"X24"X28-32" high. Similar carts are also needed
for art projects; these would have more drawers for storage.
>Please contact me if 1) you work in a museum and you can forward the plans
or a picture for a cart similar to the ones described above or 2) you can
provide us with the address or phone number of a place where carts like
these could be located or custom made.
