Hello -
We have a time capsule activity that could possibly be used - it is available at http://www.si.edu/scmre/teaching_time.html. Another resource for time capsules is available at http://www.si.edu/scmre/timecaps.html
Best wishes,

Hello,
Our Museum will be compiling a time capsule soon, and I would like some
suggestions about activities for children during the event.
The ages of the children will very. They will be asked to write a letter to
themselves, and place small personal items in the capsule. Each of their
items, as well as a local phone book, newspaper, and photographs, will be
sealed in plastic, and placed in a rubber container for burial.
We will discuss concepts of time--past and future--dendrochronology and
measure the circumference of trees on our grounds with a tape measurer.
What else can we do?
