Thanks to the overwhelming success of fundraising initiatives by the AAM
Diversity Coalition, the following professional development scholarship
opportunity is available.

AAM Professional Education Programs
Current Issues in Exhibitions Seminar
July 6-8, 2000 - Washington, DC

SCHOLARSHIP DESCRIPTION
Designed to increase the participation of diverse museum professionals at
the Current Issues in Exhibitions Seminar, the scholarship includes
complimentary registration and a stipend not to exceed $350 to help defray
travel and lodging costs only. Two scholarships will be awarded. The
deadline for application is June 14, 2000 at 5:00 p.m.

SEMINAR OVERVIEW
This 2-1/2 day program provides time for renewal and inspiration for
seasoned professionals in search of new ideas and understanding about
critical issues impacting exhibitions. Through peer exchange, facilitated
small group discussions, and talks by invited speakers from a wide range of
disciplines, Current Issues in Exhibitions is designed to go beyond "nuts
and bolts" questions about techniques or content to expand our thinking and
move the profession beyond such boundaries.
