Ah, yes. The improper and/or illegal question. And just what is an applicant to do about it? Answer as best and tactfully as they can. I remember after I got one job, I did let another group know that their application form needed to be amended to avoid difficulties. In retrospect, I doubt that they appreciated the information a great deal. I'm not sure that knowing that the question is illegal is particularly helpful from the applicant's point of view. On the other hand, it's valuable from the employer's standpoint. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Indigo Nights" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Monday, April 02, 2001 3:42 PM Subject: Interview Prep: Legal and Illegal Questions > For those of you targeting an interview (as > interviewer or interviewee), you may find the > following of benefit: > > http://www.jobweb.com/Resources/Library/Interviews__Resumes/default.htm > > http://www.fortunecity.com/skyscraper/networking/698/illegal.html > > http://www.careerbuilder.com/gh_int_htg_questions.html > > http://www.smartbiz.com/sbs/arts/htb2.htm > > http://content.monster.com/jobinfo/interview/questions/genques/ > > http://members.aol.com/mbastyle/web/intervw1.html > > http://aerobin.www7.50megs.com/libjob/interview.html > > http://www.ocs.fas.harvard.edu/html/intview.html > > http://www.usinterns.com/articlesinterviews.asp > > http://www.nextsteps.org/net/jsearch/81yecpag.htm > > > ===== > Indigo Nights > [log in to unmask] > > > __________________________________________________ > Do You Yahoo!? > Get email at your own domain with Yahoo!
