SOCIETY FOR INDUSTRIAL ARCHEOLOGY
==============================================================================
23RD ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Delta Chelsea Hotel, Toronto, Ontario
2-5 June 1994
Call for Papers
FROM FUR TRADE TO FREE TRADE
The Society for Industrial Archaeology promotes the study of the
material culture of our industrial heritage. It encourages field
investigations, research, recording, and dissemination of information on
all aspects of the industrial past.
North America's industrial landscape is changing rapidly with the
emergence of new technologies and new trading patterns. These pressures
are not new, but the pace of change is unprecedented.
The SIA invites members and friends to the 1994 conference to examine
issues connected to the conference theme and to others as they apply to
industrial archeology.
PAPER PRESENTATIONS AND PROPOSALS
Proposals may include presenting a paper (20 minutes), organizing a
panel discussion (90 minutes), reporting on work in progress (10
minutes), or coordinating a session (90 minutes). A separate room will
be set aside for video presentations.
