April Award Travelship
Welcoming New Professionals to Visitor Studies!
Application Procedures and Form
Visitor Studies Association
Purpose
The April Award Travelship helps VSA members, who are new to museum audience
research and evaluation, to attend their first Visitor Studies Conference. The
2001 Award consists of waiver of the conference registration fee and a $200
travel stipend. The 5th Annual April Award will be presented at the conference
in Orlando in July -August 2001.
Preferences
Preference will be given to applicants who live outside the conference area and
who provide evidence of financial need in order to attend the conference.
Because VSA student members have their own travel fund, they are not eligible to
apply for the April Award.
Selection
Selection of the recipient will be based on the information submitted to the
April Award Committee on this form (or copy of it). The committee will evaluate
responses to each question on the basis of the applicant's professional
potential to contribute to the field of museum audience research/evaluation.
Applicants must be members of VSA. If you have attended a previous VSA
conference you are not eligible for the award. The recipient will be notified
by May 1, 2001.

your support letter, and mail to Carey Tisdal, St. Louis Science Center, 5050
