UPCOMING PROGRAM for MER Members
Focus on Focus Groups
National Museum of American
History (NMAH), Behring Center
East Conference Room, 4th floor
Friday, March 2, 2001, 2:00pm-4:00pm
Sponsored by: Museum Education Roundtable/National Museum of American History.
Presenter: Randi Korn, Principal, Randi Korn Associates, Inc.
"Focus on Focus Groups" is the first in a series of programs for MER members
and NMAH employees. Co-sponsored by MER and NMAH, the programs will
consider research-based findings on how people learn in museums, and/or model
methods for studying how people use exhibits to build understanding. "Focus
on Focus Groups" takes a nuts and bolts approach to the topic: What is a
focus group? What are the right questions to ask in conducting a focus
group? How do you apply the findings? The format will provide an
opportunity to discuss current and potential applications of this method.
Pre-registration strongly suggested. Space is limited.
