I had a similar experience here. We have several mounted Pleistocene mammal
skeletons, with one side covered by a fiberglass mockup of the animal. They
don't usually attract much attention, but one time I saw a man pondering
them. He had a long, full beard on one side of his face, but the other was
clean-shaven. I had to rush out of the hall so I could collapse laughing.
