Hi Cynthia,
Several years ago when I worked at the Museum of the City of New York, they
had an exhibition on East Harlem, which was organized by teenagers. The
teens photographed the community and interviewed community members. Also,
recently, MCNY had an exhibition by high school students with a historical
focus. I am not sure what it was about exactly, but I know students were
involved. The museum presents these exhibitions in its community gallery,
which is overseen by Kathleen Benson. YOu might try getting in touch with
her at the museum --her email is [log in to unmask]
