Hello--I apologize if I have already posted this.
My mother has me doing research on some [paintings of hers and I seem to be
running into roadblocks. I was hoping someone could give me some ideas of
where to go for information.
One is an engraving of William Blake of 'The Canterbury Tales'. I am trying
to find out how many where engraved and how many are still around and where.
It seems to be one of his more obscure engravings.
The second is an Old Master painting that does not seem to be signed.
(Probably need s to be cleaned!!). It was x-rayed many years ago and we found
that there is another painting underneath. Who would I contact to have it
x-rayed again (the first one was twenty years ago and it has faded) and
interpreted?
I think tat is all for now. I thank you in advance for any advice you may
have.
Elizabeth
