Colleagues,

I was the original poster of the request for information on who could speak
about Vietnam veterans' memorials. I have received many, many responses,
the majority of which do not answer this specific question.

Let me say quickly that the artistic portion of the project (that is, the
artist/veterans whose work will be on view) is already determined. Please
do not send me any more information about artists, veterans, artwork or
artist-veterans who would be good for this project, and please do not
forward information about this project to artist-veterans with whom you are
acquainted. I cannot bear to hurt any more people by rejecting (as I must at
this late date) their goodhearted offers of art and artists. If you are
interested in learning more about what WILL be included, please email me
privately and I will be glad to send you an information sheet on the
project.

I am, however, now working on the adjunct programming and would be very glad
to hear of the availability of scholars who are working on any aspect of art
or literature by veterans, whether during the war (such as Lydia Fish's
great work on V. soldiers' folk songs) or later (such as Oliver Stone's
films).

Thank you very much!
