You can contact Rep. Cynthia McKinney from Georgia at her Washington D.C.
office. She is a member of the House of Representatives.
She was involved with a lawsuit a few years back regarding access to kaolin
by lower income women in middle Georgia. The suit involved land rights.
Also look at works by Georgia author Joseph Dabney. He has written a
popular cookbook on Appalachian cooking and folklore with a long title that
begins, Smokehouse Ham, Spoon Bread and Scuppernong Wine (Nashville, TN:
Cumberland House, 1998).
